August 31, 2020
Congratulations to CASEE teacher Irene Catlin on receiving the Washington Science Teachers Association’s (WSTA) Science Teaching Award! WSTA annually recognizes up to four teachers, one from each level: elementary school, middle school, high school, and higher education.
Awardees will receive local and state recognition as well as an honorarium of $500 to be spent at their discretion.
“As a science teacher myself, I know the incredible amount of work that goes into making a science classroom a success,” said Erin Lark, WSTA’s Awards and Scholarships Chair and Region 8 Representative. “The work of our award recipients contributes greatly to the experiences and opportunities for students to learn science in Washington State.”
