Here's a big shout out to recent Battle Ground High School graduate Abigail Hertner on stepping up with a big donation of clothing for the school's Thrift Shop, as well as our Family and Community Resources Center! Hertner, who is currently attending WSU Vancouver pursuing a business degree while working as an assistant manager at Maurices, talked the store manager into donating some discontinued items, rather than shipping them back to headquarters. An estimated 500 items of clothing, jewelry, hats, scarves, and shoes will now go to help families in need throughout the district. What a cool way to give back! Good afternoon, Tiger Families! I’m writing to update you on today’s power outage. The issue has been resolved and the power is back on. Today’s early release will not need to be made up, and school will resume on the normal schedule on Thursday, Sept. 26. The north wing will not have heat or air conditioning while we repair a unit that was affected by today’s events. We hope to have it repaired quickly. Thank you for your patience during this emergency. I am so proud of our students! They remained calm, and followed all adult directives. We look forward to seeing everyone at school on Thursday!
