School finance 101: State funding gaps
Since 2019, the percentage of the state's operating budget that is dedicated to K-12 education funding has decreased from 52.4% to 43.1%. The state's paramount duty, as outlined in its constitution, is to make ample provision for the education of all children residing within its borders. Over the last four years, however, Battle Ground Public Schools has been underfunded by millions. See more details.
